I’ve been driving my 2015 Nissan Xterra for a few years now and it’s been a solid off-roader, but recently I’ve started to notice a pretty significant vibration through the steering wheel and floor when I’m idling at a stop, and there’s a clunking sensation when I shift from Park to Drive or Reverse. I’ve had a quick look under the hood and I can see the engine moving more than it should when someone revs it, which makes me think the engine mounts might be worn out or even broken. I’m not a mechanic, but I’ve read that failing mounts can cause exactly these symptoms, and if left too long they can put extra stress on other drivetrain components. I’m based near the ICAD area and I’m looking for a workshop that actually knows what they’re doing with engine mount replacement, because I’ve heard some shops just use cheap aftermarket mounts that don’t last and end up causing the same problems all over again. I’m hoping to find engine mount replacement specialists in ICAD who use genuine or high-quality OEM-equivalent parts and can get the job done without keeping my car for days. Has anyone here had engine mounts replaced on their Xterra or similar Nissan and found a reliable shop in the ICAD area? I’m also curious about what kind of cost I should expect – is it a few hundred dirhams or am I looking at something more substantial? Any advice would be really appreciated because the vibration is getting annoying and I’m worried it’s going to cause more damage if I ignore it. Cheers.
